I wasn’t really supposed to get me any more driving games, but when this one surfaced quite near where I live I just couldn’t help myself. Just a few things to fix (as a new handbrake) to get it 100%, but it plays really well right now!
Had to do a quick test of the old boards before I continued with the playfield swap. Seems alright enough. Did a few more parts after this. Now it’s only the left slingshot and the ramp left to do. Later this week I will move all the under playfield parts!
The playfield swap is progressing almost according to plan. All the bumpers are in place and only a few more nights of work remain until I can start with the really hard work…
Yes, it’s a beautiful machine and it plays good too. No wonder it sold over 20.000 copies back in 1977! This will be one of the competition machines for the BPCO 2012. Just a litte bit of tweeking to do. Tommy JT Andersson did all the shopping and fixing on this machine.
Looking better. Kjell K O Ömmersjö is still going strong shopping wise. Can’t really say that he’s a good pinball player anymore. That’s too bad, as I use him as my split partner. :-(
As you all can see the Borås Pinball Classic Open 2012 is just a few weeks away. :-) The plan is to include at least 3-4 of the old EM machines in this year’s tournament. Can’t promise anything though as most of these games have been in storage for over 25 years…
This wasn’t the best time to grab the iPhone to snap a picture. A few seconds later the left flipper fuse died. Totally my own fault as I was experimenting with a stronger, home-made coil. Actually the transistor on the driver board got toasted.
This was my first Electro Mechanical game. It’s been sadly put aside for several years – in need of a shopping and restoration, but now it’s finally time to bring it back to life. I hand this shopping over to K O. Take it away!
The latest additions to my collection; Iron Man and TRON: Legacy. For the moment they reside in my apartment. I only wish was there more often. :-) They will be taken down to the game room in time for the BPCO 2012.
I think these turned out quite well. A pinball machine built from game titles.
